✍ Written Source: [There are too many names to copy and paste it (plus it is a government website) and some people like privacy, but the information that shows my father is in the state department is here:]

⚑ Explanation of source
This information was given by Mr. Dubois himself. This is a primary source, since I asked him about all the things above, and he provided correct answers. This source is the foundation and structure to the event “My father becoming An Officer in the State Department.” WIthout this, I would have nothing to write about on this topic; at least, not any actual facts.

The name of my father is Richard Dubois. He has trained in Korean for a year, and is a member of the U.S. State Department, and is currently a Consular Officer.

✦ Primary Source. Description of source: This is a primary source, since it is an Official Document (it is stamped in red on the side of the envelope) showing commission to the Foreign Service by the President of the United States. This document was presented to Richard and Officially states that he is now a member of the Foreign Service. I am sorry I will not be able to post a picture of it (like I said, too many names. My father's name [Richard Dubois III) will not be visible with the title.)

✎ Interview of Rosana Dubois, spouse of Richard Dubois:
(A very short interview by all accounts)

[Me]: So, are you happy that Richard got a job in the state department?

[Rosana]: Of course! I’m very happy, for him and for the family.

[Me]: How has Richard getting the job affected you?

[Rosana]: Well, I can stay home, I get to travel, I have a little more money... there is too much to say...

✧ Source: This source is a backbone to my topic. Rosana, spouse of Richard, has partially changed my way of thinking of how it affected her life, as before I could only see what was happening through me and my siblings point of view. Mrs. Dubois is a secondary source, since she observed my father going through the process.

Written Recount of the Event: This has changed my life, since I was use to the plains of Kansas. Now I just have to go along with it, since it is actually a good thing that has happened. Although I have had to leave a number of friends behind, I also have the change to make more, so now wherever I go I have a higher chance of seeing one of my old friends.

☆ Own Thoughts:
I myself am rather neutral on the subject. On one hand I am happy that I will be able to travel around and meet new people. On the other hand, I am reluctant to leave things that are familiar to me behind and “leave the comfort zone,” or things you don’t care to do. I am also rather proud of my father, since this has been him ambition for nearly 10 years.

☺ Hats Of Historian:
-Detective- I had to ask a lot of questions to create this page.
-Judge - I had to make my own thoughts about the subject that either sided or didn't with others.
-Interpretor- I had to sort of figure out what my sources were saying by thinking about it; some things are easily said and easily misinterpreted.
-Philosopher - I had to think about what people said and did & applied it in word.
